The book covers essential health concerns such as nutrition, common ailments and other household hazards associated with ferret ownership. Insight into the behavior of ferrets and the individual personalities they develop gives a great insight to potential as well as current ferret owners. This book is a must have for new and potential ferret owners and a great addition to any current ferret owners library.

I bought this book when I adopted my first ferret. It provides a good guide to raise ferrets, including choosing a good kit, selection criteria, and details to be aware of. A guide for common ailments, and how to keep your pet in good health is most useful.

The anectodes about the author's personal experiences are nice, and illustrative of life with a ferret.

I could have used some more tips on things such as ferret-proofing a house, diet, etc. But overall I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to get a good overview on owning a ferret.
